Express Raja Story
A cool going guy, Raja (Sharwanand) comes to Hyderabad for the job sake on the advice of his uncle. He falls in love with Amulya (Surabhi), who is a dog lover and even owns a dog. Raja, who is a dog hater, happens to surrender Amulya’s dog to municipality.
Amulya, who saw Raja giving dog to municipality, orders him to bring back her dog, in order to accept his love. It was then, Raja who comes to know that the dog is with the daughter of Binami British (Supreeth), brings back from her.
On the other side, Amulya’s father forces his daughter to get married to a guy (Harish Uthhaman), as he is going to become an MLA. Meanwhile, Binami British searches for Raja, to get back the dog. Why Binami is so particular about the dog and what made everyone fall behind the dog, forms the rest of the story.
Express Raja Analysis
The first half of Express Raja, is loaded with hilarious fun elements. The love story between the lead pair is disappointing. However, they make a good screen time, in the songs.
The second half is filled with a lot of suspense scenes. The way twists get unfolded would be interesting. Though there is not much logic, the comedy timing of Sharwanand and all the actors, keeps the audience engaged with the movie.
Performance
Sharwanand is truly the magic of Express Raja. After Run Raja Run, this movie is definitely another major milestone in his career. His stupendous performance, especially the comedy timing, is on the top notch.
Surabhi gave a decent performance, showcasing good acting skills. After Size Zero, Urvasi is spotted in Express Raja, being one of the major highlights of the movie. All her comic scenes are thoroughly entertaining.
Sapthagiri and Prabhas Seenu are at the peaks in delivering punch lines and giggles one after the other. Even Supreet managed to give a quality comedy oriented performance, along with fine dialogue delivery. Rest other characters have done their assigned jobs well.
Music is soothing and picturization of the songs is quite quirky and fun. Editing is perfect. All scenes and characters are used only to the needed level. The cinematography is another major highlight of the movie. The production values are on the top notch. UV creations have once again excelled in it. Director Merlapaka Gandhi’s direction skills are very good. The way, the plot is narrated, putting the audience engaged would be interesting.
Express Raja Final Word
No logic, but loads of laughter, is Express Raja all about. A perfect movie to enhance the festive season happiness.
