Thanu Nenu Story
Kiran (Santosh Shobhan) works in a call center and he deeply hates America and NRI culture. He falls in love with Keerthi (Avika Gor), and even the latter approves his love and the duo, spends some quality time, loving each other.
On the other side, Keerthiās father (Ravi Babu) is curious of sending his daughter to the US, for earning money. The actual twist arises, when he decides to get his daughter married to an NRI.
How did Kiran manage to save his love, by stopping her girl, going to US, forms the rest of the story.
Thanu Nenu Analysis
The first half has the required entertainment with quite breezy episodes between the lead couple, Santosh and Avika. The interval block, would be interesting and hints some watchable episodes in the second half.
But Ravibabu could not sustain that interest in the second half. There are emotional episodes in the second half and that actually spoils the content of the film. Most of the scenes appear silly. On the whole, the first half would be interesting to watch, but the same interest lacks in the second half.
The way friendship between youngsters and NRI relationships have been showcased needs a special mention.
Performance
Though it is the first movie, Santosh Shobhan impresses with his acting. He showcases good emotions and would be even identified for his humor aspect.
Avika Gor again gives some quality performance in the film and her chemistry with Santosh would be as lovable, as with Santosh. Ravi Babu is good as the girl’s father, rest other characters are decent.
Sunny’s music is decent, along with the background score. The satirical dialogues on the NRI culture are catchy and can reach to the youth well. Screenplay is decent in the first half, but has several flaws in the second part. The production values are good.
Director Ram Mohan has choosen a novel story line and linked it to the current youth friendly type. But a little care in the second half, would have made the movie better.
Thanu Nenu Final Word
Tanu Nenu will appeal more to the multiplex audience. But the boring second half, would even be a threat to that section of public too.
