Daya gets involved in many illegal activities and encourages corruption in Vizag. The twist comes when Vasu kidnaps Daya's girlfriend [Kajal Aggarwal] and gets to know bigger motive behind this. How Daya chases the kidnap and wins over Vasu forms the rest of the story.
Analysis
Director Puri Jagannadh who is an expert in dealing with cop based stories misses out the grip this time but he can't be blamed as for the first time, Puri directed a film that had script from outside. However, Puri extracted the best from Jr NTR and the elevation of a corrupt police officer is just superb. This is just amazing as everytime, Puri comes with unique characterisation of leads when they play a cop role. The screenplay plays a spoil sport as it is below par. The first half is just average and entertaining elements are skipped while the second half is the soul of the film. But as the story is routine, we can predict what happens next. Puri should have worked more in screenplay and put some entertainment elements which could have convinced the audience more.
Music by Anup Rubens is good and songs are filmed quite colorful. The visuals are eye feast and cinematography is an asset, Shyam K Naidu deserves a pat. The production values are high standard which showed the producer did not compromise.
Performance
This is what fans are expecting from Jr NTR and he did everything to impress not just his fans but the regular audiences too. His corrupt characterisation is something that will stun the audience. The change in body language, dialogue modulation of NTR will definitely appeal to the masses. The way NTR performed shows he is in dire hunger to score a big hit and also credits to him for choosing a character like this that has more negative shades. Tarak's performance in climax is a must watch one. Probably for the first time, NTR looked so stylish and maintained the balance with his performance quite well.
Kajal Aggarwal is beautiful but she has nothing to do with the second half of the film. The chemistry between Kajal and NTR is mesmerising. Prakash Raj is best usually. The scenes involving Prakash and NTR are refreshing. Madhurima is decent and one wonders why Sonia Aggarwal is roped as her role serves no purpose.
Final Word
With lot of positives, Temper will definitely hit the lid point [box office].
