Samantha to take a break from Films?:- Samantha Akkineni is the top actress of Tollywood and she is the highest paid Telugu actress too. She has been away from films for the past one year. Samantha rejected a bunch of scripts and turned quite choosy after getting married. The actress was in talks with Nandini Reddy for a film but the project did not materialize due to various reasons. Samantha signed Shaakuntalam in the direction of Gunasekhar. The project starts rolling from March 20th in Hyderabad and is a pan-Indian project. The actress is expected to complete the shoot of the film by the mid of this year and Shaakuntalam is said to be a women-centric periodic drama.

As per the ongoing speculations, Samantha will take a long break after she completes the shoot of Shaakuntalam. The actress decided not to sign any new projects for now and complete the shoot of Shaakuntalam at the earliest. Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are expecting their first baby soon and Samantha will take a break once she is done with her current projects. Samantha also did Sam Jam show for Aha and the first season came to an end recently. On the otherside, Naga Chaitanya is busy with the shoot of Thank You in the direction of Vikram Kumar and the film releases this year. Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations are the producers.
