Immediately after the success of ‘Magadheera’, Ram Charan along with his ‘Magadheera’ girl Kajal Agarrwal, have launched his next film, to be titled as ‘Merupu’. Director Dharani has scripted and was the director of this film. the film was launched and even a song sequence was shot on Ram Charan. Everything was fine. But, the actual problem rose when the director came up with the huge production cost for this film.

Neither the film maker, R.B. Chowdary, nor Charan’s father Mega Star Chiranjeevi, agreed upon such a huge budget. As a result the shooting of the film, was kept on hold. Later Charan’s ‘Orange’ was released, and now, Charan is working in his upcoming film ‘Raccha’, with director Sampath Nandi. But, all this time, it seems, Charan was so very attracted to the script that he wanted to complete ‘Merupu’.

So, in a recent press conference, the film maker R.B. Chowdary announced that, ‘Merupu’ will be starting its shooting, once Charan is done with his ‘Raccha’. Looks like the film makers are in a search of a director, who can make this film, within the given budget, and the chances of Director V.V. Vinayak, directing this film are very high.
