Savitri’s biopic Mahanati Postponed?: Super talented actress Keerthy Suresh has been roped in to play the title role in Mahanati, the biopic of legendary actress Savitri. Nag Ashwin has been working on the script from the past couple of years and the regular shoot kick-started last year. Samantha is playing a journalist in the film and Dulquer Salman, Vijay Devarakonda will be seen essaying other crucial roles. The entire shoot of the film has been planned to be wrapped up by the end of this month. But the latest news we hear is that the shoot of Mahanati has been delayed.

The makers announced that Mahanati will hit the screens on March 29th but the latest news say that Mahanati’s release may be pushed to May due to the delay in the shoot. Mahanati even has huge dose of VFX work which too has been delayed. Hence the film may not release as scheduled. Top producer Ashwini Dutt is bankrolling Mahanati on Vyjayanthi Movies banner. An official announcement about the release date will be out soon.
