Sukumar is directing this action thriller which has been set during 1985 in a village called Rangasthalam. Samantha is the female lead and Ram Charan will be seen in a never seen look in the movie. The makers are keen on closing the business of the movie and the Hindi satellite deal has been closed recently. Rangasthalam 1985 Hindi satellite rights fetched Rs 10 crores which is huge.

With huge market for Telugu films on small screen, the makers managed to get a massive price for the Hindi satellite rights. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music and the entire shoot of Rangasthalam 1985 has been planned to be wrapped up by the end of this month. Mythri Movie Makers are the producers and Rangasthalam 1985 has been slated for March 29th release.
