Power Star, Pawan Kalyan has brought a huge Rs 70cr profit, for his new film, Katamarayudu, even before its release!
Apart from the trolling of anti-fans, even ardent fans of the power star, expressed their disappointment, when it was reported that, Pawan would do the film, which is a remake of the Tamil film 'Veeram'.
Though, there were not much talks about the film, until the film’s teaser hit the screens. Distributors flooded with money bags, to grab the rights, once the teaser was released.

According to trade reports, the film’s total theatrical rights, were sold for a whopping Rs 85 Crore, and it has collected another Rs 20 Crore revenue from the satellite, audio, digital and dubbing rights.
The film's budget, including the publicity cost was estimated at a meager of Rs 35 crore, and brought a net profit of Rs 70 crore, reducing the expenses. So, for North Star Entertainment, this could be a very profitable film.
The movie also proved that Pawan Kalyan has minimum Rs 40 Cr market, and the Power Star had not taken any remuneration.
The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on 24 March 2017.
