He was a Trend setter, bagging success right with his first film as a Director. ‘Chitram’, a low budget film targeting teens basically, bagged a huge success, so as everyone associated with the film. The creator of this teenage love story with a complete new treatment was Director Teja.

Soon came, "Jayam", "Nuvvu Nenu", again teenage love stories in different style, resulted to be the block buster hits of Telugu Cinema. Known for his creative eye, amazing taking, bliss for producers to let them spend less and earn more, all those amateur actors who turned stars because of him overnight, and for screaming and even slapping his actors to get best output from them, Teja was in limelight for more than 5 years.

Every Top Actor wanted to work with him. ‘Nijam’ is the proof of this statement. But, this film could not at all do well at Box Office. Teja's vision, the hit concept, Mahesh's outstanding performance and Gopi Chand, no one could spin their charm to bag the success.

Result? Teja's down fall, overnight. It is close to a Decade now, but Teja is still striving to bag the success. Couple of his films after ‘Nijam’ did get Critical acclaim, but not much money and success to anyone associated with the film.

Success or failure, doesn’t matter much to Teja and has decided to remain the straightforward he has been, blunt, trusts his instincts, introduces new Actors with his films and so he is even now.

‘If you feel like watching this film in Theaters, then come and watch. If not, watch the pirated version. I have made the film with new comers. It is another attempt, that's it’, said the Director on talking about his today's release "Hora Hori’.
