A Small screen Telugu host was arrested by the Begumpet police on Saturday who behaved rudely with a school teacher. The detained anchor is identified as Mohammed Khayyum best known as Lobo, who is a anchor in popular Telugu music channel.

Going into the details by police, Lobo was involved in a heated conversation with a school teacher near IBP petrol station at Begumpet after she asked him to remove his bike which was parked causing disturbance to the traffic. Lobo fumed over this and used foul language on the school teacher and later she registered a complaint against him at the nearest police station.

The police have booked Lobo under section 509 [Uttering any word or making any gesture to outrage the modesty of a woman] of the IPC as per the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 2013 (Nirbhaya Act). Later Lobo was arrested and remanded in judicial custody.

Being a television host and abusing a woman in public, this is merely a shameful incident.
