It is not simply acting and making money, getting fame, and earning of millions of fans for the artists like Kamala Hasan who loves his characters and does the best any one can. Justifying the role is a small word of appreciation for his acting talent. He showed his acting prowess in many films but Dasavataram stood above all in his career.
Kamala Hasan’s chest heaved when he saw the Hindi movie ‘The Wednesday’ particularly the character played by Nasiruddin Shah. He made ‘Eenadu’ with the same theme but it did not reach the audience well. An artist in the actor from time to time comes out when a good script is seen. That is what happened when he became aware of the role of the notorious gangster Dawood Ibrahim in the upcoming film of Nikhil Advani.
The Character of Dawood Ibrahim attracted Kamala Hasan so much that he expressed his intention of playing the role. But unfortunate to Kamal, the role was already given to Rishi Kapoor an agreement was made to that effect.
Rishi Kapoor no doubt is a good actor and he will give his best in the film as seen in the movie ‘Agneepath’. But an artist gets satisfaction when he does the acting. As this time it is not possible, Kamal’s inside artist may get disappointed this time but no dearth for characters and he will certainly get one of his choices in the time to come.
