Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby will open the 66th Cannes International Film Festival, starting on May 15.
Moreover, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is making his Hollywood debut with the project, will grace the red carpet.
According to a statement on the official website of the Cannes film fest American rapper Jay-Z will also attend.
To say more, the screen adaptation of the F. Scott Fitzgerald bestseller features Hollywood actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire in lead roles.
It seems that Mr Bachchan, 70, features in a brief appearance as Meyer Wolfsheim, a man with a dark past, who helps DiCaprio’s character make money when he first comes to New York after the first World War.
To conclude, the movie will be screened in 3D and that the Cannes festival will end on May 26.
It would be an exceptional treat for us to see Big B on the Hollywood screen.
