AR Murugadoss' megahit movie Thupakki starring Vijay has been the biggest grosser in USA for 2012 and it has undoubtedly become worthy of being a superhit worldwide movie. It is speculated that with high repeat audience the entertaining quotient of the movie is very high. The movie was initially released in 54 centers by ATMUS Entertainment.

Even after a week, the number of theaters today, on Thanksgiving Day, November 22nd, there are 36 screens screening the movie for the audience patronizing the movie. The 4 day long weekend holiday would mean more people watching the movie at the screens and the collections are expected to rise further up.
