Akkineni Nagarjuna shared his views on Damarukam movie. He has said that the movie has come out very well. Nag even said that the last thirty minutes of the movie was the main asset and it would take audience into a different world. He hailed the music director Devi Sri Prasad and said that DSP scored awesome background movie. Talking about the protagonist Andakasurudu(asura), Nagarjuna said that the character was a devil, which wages war against Gods and goes underground later thousands of years ago. The same devil awakens from deep sleep state and how hero encounters Andakasurudu becomes the central theme of the movie. Bommali Ravi gave dubbing for Andakasurudu character.

Nagarjuna has also hailed the director Srinivas Reddy stating that he made all actors work well. He said he was very happy with the director. Anushka played the key role in Damarukam, said Nagarjuna. Andakasura awakens in 2012 only for Anushka, said Nagarjuna. Nag said Damarukam would get many awards many commercial awards. Chota K Naidu is the cinematographer for this film and said Chota took extra efforts in finding locations and showing them more beautifully.
