Tollywood hero Allu Arjun, who will tie the marital knot in the next 48 hours, is facing a legal case in land grabbing allegations.
A Hyderabad court today ordered the city police to enquire and submit a report to it on allegations that Arjun had grabbed four acres of land belonging to an advocate Mr. Rahul Dev.
Rahul Dev filed a private complaint in a Hyderabad court some months ago against Arjun after police failed to take action on his earlier complaint. Dev said in his complaint that four acres of his land, bought from one Mr Mustafa Khan in 2004 was occupied by Arjun, and sought court help in getting back his land.
Following the police complaint against him, Allu Arjun also filed a counter complaint with the police saying that Rahul Dev’s complaint had no basis and Dev was only indulging in character assassination against him. Police kept both complaints pending as they were of civil nature.
Narsing police confirmed that the court has ordered them to enquire into the allegations and submit a report. “We will soon submit a report to the court and the enquiry is going on now,” police said.
Rahul Dev in his complaint to the court said that he bought four acres of land from Mr Mustafa Khan while Allu Arjun has bought 10 acres and 4 Guntas of land from him. “He grabbed my four acres and was now claiming that he bought 14 acres of land,” Dev said in his complaint against Allu Arjun.
The land was reportedly registered in the names of Allu Arjun, Allu Sirish, Allu Nirmala and Vasantha Lakshmi.
