In another update, WhatsApp gets another feature for voice calling. When a user calls, if his or her call is unanswered or is rejected then the user can leave a feedback or message. Similar to a voice message, the feature pops up on the same screen when the recipient does not answer or rejects a call.
The new feature rolled out by WhatsApp helps the caller to leave a voice message or a voicemail instantly on the same screen.
When the recipient rejects a voice call or does not answer the call, the caller’s screen used to head back to the previous screen. But with the new update, the caller now gets three new icons or buttons where he or she can now leave a voice message or call again.
Simply tap and hold the ‘Voice Message’ button and record your message and send it to your recipient. The message will go to him as a regular voice note or a recorded voice message.
The new feature is useful as it can help save a few extra taps or clicks to get your message through. You won’t need to start typing or hit the tiny voice message icon on the chat screen anymore. A great feature is for those with busy hands, especially when working or driving.
The new feature is seen in WhatsApp for Android version 2.16.229 and WhatsApp for iOS version 2.16.8.
