Video calling through Whatsapp soon!

It was earlier rumored that, Whatsapp would add call back, voice mail and zip file sharing support to the service. Reportedly, the company has now been working on it. Primarily, it would start with adding the video calling feature.

Citing translation requests, Android police reports that, WhatsApp is gearing up to add the video call feature. The translate requests sent by WhatsApp includes a line that says, "Video call," and "Video calling is unavailable at this time." This clearly suggests that the company is set to add the video call feature to Whatsapp soon.

Reportedly, the video calling feature would be accessible on the selected devices running beta app and is yet to make it to the general users.

As of now, there is no such clarity on whether the video calling feature would be made available to the general public or just like the voice calling feature, to the users with invites.

Initially, the WhatsApp voice call feature was only available to the limited users with invites.

Facebook's WhatsApp can also be considered as an additional option to send group invites via NFC tags, alongside links and QR codes. As per the report citing translation requests and some leaked screenshots, it can be known that, the  company is looking to expand the ways with which members of a limited group can invite other WhatsApp users to join.

For Android and iOS users, reportedly, the company was planning to add a 'call back' feature on WhatsApp, thus allowing the users to call back friends with just a tap of button without opening the app.

Adding to it, Whatsapp is even planning to bring the voicemail feature to the  iOS platform, which would allow the users, to record and send voice mails to the contacts.
