India create history at Lord's

India have defeated England in the second Test match at Lord's stadium ending their overseas victory drought. It's been a 1124 days since India last won a Test overseas, It has been 28 years since India last won a Test at Lord's. Ishant Sharma was the star of India’s victory who took seven wickets which broke the England middle order.

England began their Day five with overnight score 105/4. Jeo Root and Moeen Ali have a steady start for England and duo posted 101 run partnership. However, it was Ishant who broke the partnership by removing Moeen Ali. From here, England’s down fall started and in the end, Ravindra Jadeja claimed the last wicket running out Anderson. India won the match by 95 runs. 

Ishant Sharma was rewarded with Man of the Match award and also registered his career best figures of 7/74. With this India take lead in the five match Test series.
