Pakistani Women Kabaddi Team Open Up!

A Kabaddi team consisting of 16 girls from Pakistan is going participate for the first time in the history of a Muslim country in the World Cup.

The World Cup Kabaddi is going to be held in India on November 30 next year and Pakistan is sending the team to participate.

Kabaddi is a game in which players should have a great stamina to wrestle and physically fight out to win.

The team of girls are very much excited to get the news that they are allowed to participate in the world cup. Sayeda Fareeda Khanum (24) says, "I have been sports crazy since childhood and was selected for national events in various sports many times, but I was never allowed by my family to attend a training camp outside college or university. But when I got selected for the kabaddi team, I told my mother that I would play this sport at any cost and left home to join the camp in Lahore."

Vice-captain of the team Sumera Zahoor says, "We decided to participate in this team for the sake of Pakistan, and for the sake of true patriotism. And we have tried our level best, and by the will of God we will succeed”.

Sayeda Fareeda Khanum says, "Getting the national colours was my childhood dream. I am going to India to make a do-or-die battle for my nation and prove that Pakistani girls can do whatever women do in other countries."

It is good to see that women from Muslim countries are getting liberty to pursue their dream profession and also good that the two neighboring countries joining in a sportive fight instead of fighting for political power.
