Indian's are set to make their mark at another world championship, this time with Badminton. The Badminton World Championships 2013 commence on Monday, 5th August. Chief national coach Pullela Gopichand is confident of Indians' prospects on the world stage.
Gopichand was quoted by the Press Trust of India saying that the players have prepared well for the tournament. "Overall preparation has been good for World Championship,” he commented. The coach further noted that the players were able to prepare well since they had considerable time during the last 4 to 5 weeks.
The Badminton World Championships at Guangzhou's TianHe Indoor Gymnasium in China will see approximately 400 top players from across the world competing for the title of World Champion. Men’s singles, Women’s singles, Men’s doubles, Women’s doubles and Mixed doubles matches will be held from 5th to 11th August 2013.
