Virat Kohli master stroker with his willow has been in the limelight many a times for his batting prowess. However on some occassions he was in the hot shot for wrong reasons too. Captain Cool seems to be advicing his ODI deputy to calm down and maintain amedian line of aggressiveness. With spare time on hands Team India seems to be introspecting over the issues that could affect the team's performance.
"I have been speaking to MS (Dhoni) a lot about it. He is one who doesn't sink or go above that line. He is someone who is always around that calm line. It is important to learn such things from such important people”, says Kohli after being adviced by Dhoni. “He keeps telling me that once I stay around that line I would keep improving as a cricketer. Once that graph goes too much above or drops you end up putting yourself under pressure," he added in a media interview.
If one remembers the controversy that shadowed his maiden century against Australia. The Indian batsaman slammed 116 runs in Adelaide. And you remeber how he celebrated his maiden ton, by swearing the opponents. ''Virat and some other youngsters were swearing at the opponents,'' said veteran batsman Sunil Gavaskar who was in the commentry box. ''That is like having a temperament of school-kid cricket. They should not do that. When a Tendulkar, Dravid or a Laxman score a century they just raise the bat. By swearing or doing something like that, [it] brings down the focus.''
