Ready for 5G?

We have had 56k modems doing mediocre jobs a few years ago until recently when they go converted to high speed internet but the thirst of the humans for the information has not even been remotely reached until a couple of years ago when 4G made its entry after the 3G was not longer enchanting. Speaking domestically, India doesn't even have 4G if you put your fingers blocking Pune and Kolkata on the maps. But, the thirst needs to be quenched even before the world citizens are thirsty.

Google had its tantrums with the local ISP who charge heavily for the high speed internet after it decided to release the Google Fiber which is currently providing speeds of upto 1GB per second to households. Now, Samsung has announced the success of its innovation, Fifth-generation of super-fast wireless internet which pioneered tranmission of more than one gigabyte per second over a distance of two kilometres without any fibers or wires.

This is hundreds of times faster than the prevailing 4G speeds. Large files can be downloaded within seconds. A movie will hardly take five seconds to be saved to your hard drive. Live streaming of Ultra HD content without any buffering is possible with no hiccups.

The new technology involved a method to draw in millimeter-wave bands which have proved to be a sticking point for the mobile industry to date. With 64 antenna elements, Samsung managed to address the issue of the unfavourable propagation characteristics which were the hurdle for long distance communication of bands.
