BestBuy, the online retailer has started a highly awaited discount on the new Apple iPad 3 with retina display. Currently there is a 30% discount of the Apple's latest line up of the 10 inch tablets at the world's largest consumer electronics chain store. However, the deal is applicable only in the USA.

The pricing on a good is slashed by Apple only when there is a major launch of a newer version to be expected soon. This could be one way of clearing their warehouses of the older stock to make way for the new products.

BestBuy however mentioned that the prices of the newer models, the iPad Minis are not not discounted and that the discount is applicable only to the iPad 3.
