Several of the discoveries right from gravity were accidents and addint to the list is the latest innovation of lens for the colorblind. This is not a 100% solution for the disabled but a good start for the solution neverthless.

Scientists have developed a type of glass that enhances the levels of red-and green light that could be potentially useful for the most common type of color blindness, red-green color blindness. Generally those who are color blind may have a reduced sensitivity to a color or two rather than having no vision of any color or a group of colors.

Test subjects who earlier had a great problem with the greens and reds whether it came to reading graphs or a routine activity of choosing a dress have expressed great joy at being able to see the colors they never knew that existed.

However, this 190 pound innovation has its drawbacks too. With enhanced red and green with the purple tint, there is a loss of yellow light sensitivity in the people. People will pass the general color blind test with ease but they might have trouble seeing the things they originally saw; smaller yellow objects may even disappear from their vision at times. Without the glasses people could see everything; nothing was invisible but the color but a new problem arises with the glasses though it solved many others.

With further development of the glasses the drawbacks will be attended to and all it takes would be a little more time for the colorblind to see the beauty of the world like everyone else.
