Twitter's founding member Jack Dorsey has set off a new speculation on the internet about Twitter's own photo filter feature, akin to Instagram by posting a few pictures processed with digital photo filters. The new rumored photofilter feature may be all set to start before the New Year.

All users of the application might receive an update anytime before the new year which will allow them to get the new features. The feature is currently being tested by developers at Twitter according to reliable sources quoted by AllThingsD. Twitter however, has not commented.

It is only meaningful that Twitter is not waiting until the New Year for rolling out the update. Earlier, Instagram saw an overwhelming usage beyond 200 users every second on average on Thanksgiving, total amounting to ten million. Twitter can expect the same or even better on Christmas and New Years's eve.

This move comes after several issues of integration between Twitter and Instagram since the photos had failed to display well.
