Change channels with the blink of an eye!

Good Morning lazy bums and couch potatoes, we have great news for you. Few engineers have developed a technology that can allow you to control the TV channels and volume with gestures from your eye.

The Eye Control Television uses a bulky geeky device (Kinect-style sensor) to be places n front of your tv and it records your gestures from the eye in real time, allowing you to change the channels, or power off and turn it on, according to the Daily Mail.

The technology uses an Xbox Kinect like sensor, which would not read the normal blinks and hence your channel viewing would not be interrupted according to the Chinese manufacturer.

The first run would require you to calibrate the sensor by following a circle on the screen as the sensor understands the behavior of your eyes.

After that you are all set, long blinks will activate the sensor, triggering an active on-screen display to be opened. Looking downwards brings up the volume controls, which you can then adjust by looking at the plus and minus signs.

Meanwhile, other menus allow you to switch channels and glide between still images.

The technology was unveiled and tested at the Berlin IFA technology conference.
