Get apparels best suit with virtual scan

If choosing a specific dress that best suits you is a problem then this is for all of us, like you. A path-breaking marketing tool fostered by some retailers, gives the buyer a virtual experience of the dress. This helps them take a quick decision at purchase. The virtual software developed, scans you and suggests the exact fitments or the size. The scanning tools are simple and could hook to your home computer too, for online buyers. This not only helps the buyers in getting the apt apparels. It also relieves the retailer of showing the entire range of apparels to the customer and saves time from folding the apparels. Thirdly, the customer is also relieved of hassles of the fitting room activity. Fourth as an online customer, you get as per your exact needs and hence need not worry of replacements. In addition to all this, the virtual fitting room will give exact data of the buyers and the sizes.

Sizing software being developed for home motion-sensing devices like the popular Microsoft Kinect will soon allow consumers to scan themselves in their living rooms before clicking "purchase" on their computer screens. "It's disruptive technology that could break open the whole e-commerce apparel space," Raj Sareen, chief executive and founder of Styku, said.

The Los Angeles startup has developed a program that measures users' dimensions and creates personalized on-screen avatars to digitally "try on" clothes. Using specifications provided by clothing manufacturers, the program can figure out whether that dress will fit like a tent or a tourniquet before a shopper ever takes it off the rack. According to Sareen, the company plans to sell the tool directly to consumers for home use by the end of the year, but has not yet set a price. This is sure to relieve most of us the worry of whether the ordered apparel fits you or not. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
