Usain Bolt Won Men’s 200 Meter Running Event; Scored Eight Gold In Olympics

Jamaica’s world record holder Usian Bolt won 200m running event at Rio Olympics 2016 and finished the race in 19.78 seconds to come ahead of Canada’s Andre de Grasse and France’s Christophe Lemaitre.
Bolt has won his eights gold at the Olympics and had said earlier that he would retire after 2017 World Championships
He told a leading daily, “The fact that I am here and executed what I wanted to is a brilliant feeling.”
The athlete believed that he could cross his own world recored of 19.19 and even go under 19 seconds at Rio Olympic stadium.
“I wasn’t happy with the time when I crossed the line but I’m excited I got the gold medal- that’s the key thing.”
Bolt has become only a third athlete in the world to win more gold medal at athletics in Olympic after the American sprinter and long jumper Carl Lewis (9) and Finland’s long-distance runner Paavo Nurmi (9).
The 29-year-old athlete has already won the 100m event at Rio and will be participating in 4x100m relay final on Friday.
