Patna Pirates Thrashed Bengal Warriors 35-21, Registered Fifth Consecutive Win

Patna Pirates easily beat the Bengal Warriors 35-21 in Match 24 of fourth season of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League on Friday at Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna. Star raider Pradeep Narwal and the skipper Dharmaraj Cheralathan played well and scored 10 and 9 points respectively. Â
In the points table, Patna Pirates are now at the top of the points table with scoring 25 points and winning all 5 games while Bengal Warriors are at the bottom of the points table with scoring only 1 win and pocketing 7 points.
In the second half of the match, Pirates’ defense played well and Pradeep Narwal scored a raid point and Pirates scores a super tackle and got a man back as they were reduces to two early on in the second half. With back to back super tackles, skipper Cheralathan to get 11 points lead for pirates in the 32nd minute. Pradeep Narwal then scored his third super 10 of the season and managed to beat Warriors 35-21, registering their consecutive fifth victory of the season.
Earlier, Pradeep Narwal and Rajesh Mondal helped Pirates to gain 4-2 lead before Warriors managed to score their first super tackle to get the score level at 4-4. Patna Pirates scored their first all out of the match in at 12th minute of the first half and gained the lead 12-6.
Substitute Abolfazel also scored 2 points to give Pirates 15-10 in the 16th minute. Narwal cemented the score by scoring two raid points in last minute of the first half and both the teams went to break as Patna Pirates leading with 17-12.
