The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Mukesh Kumar Meena shared that as of 5 pm, 68.04% of polling was recorded. The CEO is optimistic that the poll percentage will increase as more people are still waiting to vote. He expressed hope that the percentage will surpass the last elections. In about 3,500 polling stations, voting continued for those who were in queues after the 6 pm deadline. The CEO anticipates that the percentage will increase further by the closing time. Although the final figure is expected on Tuesday morning, the CEO has not received any demand for re-polling in any booth. The observers and Returning Officers will review complaints from political parties regarding the re-polling and will make a final decision on Tuesday. (Video Source: Sakshi TV Live) The CEO reported receiving 12 complaints regarding political party clashes during the election. Additionally, there were reports of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) damage from 11 locations. Macherla constituency had eight damaged EVMs, Kodur constituency in Annamayya district had two, and Darsi in Prakasam district had one. BHEL engineers tested the damaged machines and found that the data remained in the chip, and votes could still be counted. All 11 machines were replaced, and polling resumed. The first complaint was regarding the abduction of polling agents in Punganur constituency, but the police rescued them, and the polling continued. The Sub-Inspector was suspended for releasing the accused without permission from higher authorities. To prevent violence, leaders, including the Tenali sitting MLA, two contest candidates in Anantapur and Narasaraopet constituency, were kept under house arrest. Lok Sabha Polls: Telangana Registers 62.32 percent polling:- Telangana saw a voting percentage of around 62.32 by 6 pm on Monday, as polling for 17 Lok Sabha seats concluded without any major incidents. However, the percentage is expected to rise as there were still voters waiting in queues across the state. Those in line by 6 pm were permitted to cast their ballots. The state had a voter turnout of 71.32% in the November 2023 Assembly elections, and 62.77% in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. According to Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj, polling was still ongoing at 1,300 to 1,400 booths after 6 pm, and the final voting percentage will be known on Tuesday. Raj also praised the good response from voters, and credited the weather for the strong turnout in several districts. In addition, the bypoll for the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly segment took place peacefully, with 15 candidates competing and a 47.88% voter turnout by 5 pm. The votes of 525 candidates have been stored within electronic voting machines (EVMs), with the ballot count scheduled for June 4th. An incident occurred at a Malakpet polling station, where BJP Hyderabad candidate K. Madhavi Latha requested some burqa-clad Muslim women to unveil themselves to verify their identity. Later on, at Mir Chowk, supporters of the BJP and AIMIM parties began to shout slogans when the convoys of Madhavi Latha and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi crossed paths. Police dispersed both groups. BJP Adilabad MLA Payal Shankar drew criticism from Congress and CPI women leaders for wearing a saffron khanduva while visiting a polling station. Heated arguments ensued, but were quelled by police intervention. In Narayankhed, Nagesh Shetkar, brother of Zaheerabad Congress MP candidate Suresh Shetkar, kicked BJP activist Santosh Kumar. Polling in 13 Maoist-affected Assembly segments under five Lok Sabha constituencies ended at 4 pm, while the rest of the 106 Assembly segments in 12 Lok Sabha constituencies closed at 6 pm. Khammam had the highest poll percentage at 75.19%, while Hyderabad had the lowest at 39.17%. Out of 17 Lok Sabha constituencies, five had voter turnout exceeding 70%, namely Khammam (75.19%), Bhongir (72.34%), Nalgonda (70.75%), Medak (73.63%), and Zahirabad (72.48%). About 115 polling stations received complaints of technical problems with electronic voting machines, forcing officials to replace the malfunctioning machines. Raj Vikas said 38 First Information Reports (FIRs) were registered on Monday for various reasons and against various political parties. In many places, especially in rural areas, the voting was followed with enthusiasm. Voters lined up outside polling stations ahead of the start of voting at 7am. Many voters cast their ballots early in the morning to avoid the summer heat. The process slowed down in the afternoon, but resumed after 15:00. Election officials said polling was postponed due to technical glitches in EVM machines at some places and power outages due to rain and strong winds. (Video Source: V6 News Telugu)

Revanth Reddy has doubts about Balakot Airstrikes May 11, 2024 13:37

Revanth Reddy has doubts about Balakot Airstrikes:- Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Friday questioned the authenticity of the Balakot airstrike, becoming the latest leader of the Congress Party and the wider opposition to question the deployment of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Pakistani soil in February 2019. “No one is sure if the airstrike happened as claimed. "If we (Congress) were entrusted to ensure the internal security of the country, we would not hand it over to anyone," Reddy said at a press conference. The Congress leader accused Prime Minister Modi and the BJP of trying to gain "political advantage" from the Pulwama attack and the retaliatory strikes by the Indian Air Force. “I want to ask him: what did you do? Why did you allow this (Pulwama attack)? What has he done to improve the internal security of the country? Why didn't you seek help from agencies like IB and RandAW? “This is your failure,” he said. The Governor of Telangana has asked people to vote for the Modi government in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. “The most important thing for Modi is to win the elections. His way of thinking is harmful to the country. Time to get rid of Modi and BJP. The Pulwama attack could not be prevented. What did the Secret Service do? asked Reddy. The Pulwana attack took place on February 14, 2019, after a Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide bomber detonated a car bomb on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bus. On February 26, US Air Force fighter jets attacked a Jaish hideout in Pakistan's Balakot, "killing a large number of terrorists and destroying their infrastructure". Who is winning in AP Polls in 2024? May 10, 2024 11:27

Who is winning in AP Polls in 2024?:- The countdown to the Andhra Pradesh election is on, with only three days remaining. As anticipated, the political campaign has been fiercely competitive. The TDP-Janasena-BJP alliance has been dominating the critical lead-up period to voting day. Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh have taken to the public to decry YS Jagan's shortcomings as a leader and the lack of progress in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also joined the fray, condemning the corruption and lack of development under Jagan's administration, particularly the absence of a state capital. They have highlighted Jagan's failures, such as the failure to construct even basic roads in the last five years, as well as the absence of job opportunities and other pressing issues. However, the Land Titling Act, which has recently emerged as a potent weapon, may prove to be the most critical factor. Jagan's decision to put his own smiling face on the most important land passbook has backfired spectacularly, as it is viewed as a violation of the hard work of the passbook holder and a critical land document. Despite his love of painting government buildings in YCP colors and plastering his photo everywhere, YS Jagan seems to be falling behind other prominent politicians like CBN, Pawan Kalyan, and Lokesh in terms of public visibility. While he did make a few high-profile appearances at events like the "Siddham" pre-release, he has been largely absent from the public eye. Jagan's frequent breaks under the guise of election-related meetings and his recent admission of losing confidence have not helped his image. His request for CBI permission to go on vacation after the election has also raised eyebrows. Jagan's use of repetitive phrases like 'Mee bidda' and odd gestures like 'ilaa ilaa ilaa' have made him a target of social media trolls. Finally, his interview with a TV channel failed to convince anyone of his explanations for development and the choice of Vizag as the capital. Despite his followers' claims of high YouTube views, Jagan seems to be struggling to make an impact during this crucial time. Despite Jagan's absence from the public eye and media for the past five years, his recent interview is garnering attention, both genuine and potentially paid. This interest has only increased after clips from the interview went viral due to trolling. However, people are not easily swayed and will evaluate Jagan based on his performance over the past five years. Unfortunately for him, he has not built any infrastructure in the three capitals, which has caused a lack of credibility for his words. Additionally, his actions have been perceived as vendetta politics, starting with the destruction of the government-owned building Praja Vedika in Vijayawada. As a result, Jagan's credibility as a leader is in question, especially with alliance heads confronting him directly.
