Nissan Micra has registered highest number of car exports for 2016 June. The Japanese car manufacturer dispatched 6,807 units of Micra-- one of its popular models.
Nissan produces the Micra in its factory built in alliance with Renault in Oragadam, close to Chennai. The hatchback has demand spreading over more than 100 countries including Britain, Germany, Switzerland and Italy which are marked as the biggest markets.
The company began its operations in India back in 2010, and has shipped more than 620,000 cars as of now. Nissan claims itself as one of the major contributors towards Government's Make in India initiative, and has addedRs. 30,000 crores to countries foreign exchange reserves.
In India only 554 units of thehatchback were sold in June 2016, which is quite opposite to its demand in the foreign markets during the same interval.
