Idea Cellular took a bold step of reducing its tariff in 2G and 3G browsing.
It is giving 90% cut on 2G and 33% on 3G on 6 months plans. The reduced rates are not only on the new recharges but the present prepaid and postpaid customers also get the benefit. The Idea Cellular released a statement to that effect.
It says, "Over 33 million existing and new data users on the Idea networks can now enjoy reduced data tariffs on their 2G and 3G prepaid and postpaid handsets and dongles. The offer will be effective from November 15, 2013, and be available for six months".
Idea Cellular deputy managing director Ambrish Jain said, "The reduction in data tariff is aimed at catalysing data adoption amongst the masses and empowering them with the power of mobile internet at an affordable cost”.
The offer is in all the States of the Country wherever Idea network is operating. Idea has 3G spectrum in 12 States including Andhra Pradesh.
The idea is to make existing data users to use more and to induce users from other networks to migrate to Idea.
