The United Nations' food agency brought into prominence on Thursday, global food prices known to have declined by1 per cent in June described as similar to the preceding month due to drops in dairy and sugar costs as well as slight declines in cereals along with edible oils prices.
Furthermore, the Food and Agriculture Organisation's (FAO) price index, which measures monthly price changes for a basket of cereals, oilseeds, dairy, meat and sugar experienced decline for a second month furthering to 211.3 points in June which is described as similar to 213.2 points in May.
