How do you think India's national airliner, crumbled in financial hurdles, to the tune of Rs Rs. 67,520 Cr, trying a makeover. Psshhhh! Top secret. Yes Air India is planning innovate to get over these financial shackles that are ruining its prospects. And mind you the ideas are just old wine poured in a new bottle. Due to its massive presence with nearly 111 aircraft fleet, the tasks shall reap rich dividends to the national carrier say sources. And now lets see what the airliner would like to do to revamp its wreaked balance sheet.
In the first phase the airline would like concentrate and create advertising initiatives to overcome the financial emergencies. The most predominant idea would be to lend its exterior and interior for advertising. This would be ideal place for domestic airlines to grab the opportunity, as the national airliner has many global touch downs that could garner many eyeballs who intend to travel in our country. However the airline would also have ads on the interiors at vantage points for the global travelers to have a look too.
In the second strategy to combat the financial deficit the national airliner would like to print advertisements on free spaces on its boarding passes and bag tags. Though an old idea, this is sure to take off well owing to the numerous global travelers who use this country's airliner.
The third idea is to allow companies to give a sample to the liner's passengers on board. And once used the issue becomes an addiction is the thought underlying in this type of propaganda. What ever the reasons be I am planning to take on the carrier during my next schedules as my daughter is not worried about the costly gifts I get from various places, but is amused over such products given by star hotels and airlines.
