A recent study carried out by the management consultancy major, Hay Group, Indian based Tata Group has become the only entity from the country, which was placed amongst top ten companies for leadership in Asia. The Tata Group, in fact, was ranked fifth. In the fourth position was Samsung Group.
The main reason behind Tata Group to find a place amongst top ten names was the innovation that the group constantly focused on, said the study. It has also mentioned that the Tata Group’s Nano project was a major breakthrough in the study.
The study mentioned: "Leading Asian companies are no strangers to innovation, the key theme of this year's study. Top 10 companies Samsung and Tata, for example, are both notable for recent breakthrough products like the Galaxy Tab tablet computer and the Nano ultra low-cost family car.”
The study has also revealed that 81 per cent of Asia’s top companies constantly discuss customers’ needs besides looking at the negative feedback. The study took the responses of over 7,000 candidates from 2,00 companies in 103 countries.
