With the demand huge over the supply, it is heard that the prices will stay high for the next few weeks. The state governments are selling onions at Rs 40-50 per kg in selected outlets and there is a huge rush all over. People are spotted standing in lines for hours to buy a kg of onions. In most of the regions, the price of onion reached Rs 200 per kg.
