Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has applied for an extension of furlough who has been granted 14 days earlier. Dutt is out of Yerwada jail since December 24, 2014 and is supposed to be back in jail by today. But the actor applied for an extension of two more weeks. Despite being out, the Maharashtra government has ordered a probe on Sanjay Dutt's release.

The Supreme Court has convicted Sanjay Dutt for illegally possession of arms in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. Sanjay earlier served 18 months in jail and is currently serving the remaining tenure of punishment. Time and again Sanjay Dutt's Parole and furlough turn controversial, the government orders a probe and later claims that everything is done as per rules.
