AIADMK chief and former Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa bail has been extended by four more months by the Supreme Court on Thursday morning. Jaya was convicted on September 27th by a special court in Bangalore in the 1996 disproportionate assets case and and sentenced her to four jail term and Rs.100 crore fine.
Jaya spent nearly three weeks in jail before getting bail on October 17th. On December 8th Jaya filed a paperbook of her appeal in the Karnataka high court in line with the Supreme Court order while granting her conditional bail in the disproportionate assets case.
