A leopard has been sighted today morning in the Indian Institute of Technology [IIT] campus in Mumbai. According to the Public Relations Officer of IIT, a leopard was seen in a workshop of Metallurgy department and staff was informed about leopard's presence. Without wasting much time the officials have informed to the forest officials.
The entire area was sealed by the forest officials and measures are taken to trap the leopard. IIT authorities have issued advisories to the students after leopard sightings in the past. Incidents of leopards straying into colonies are nothing new to Mumbai.
