The budget session of newly formed Modi Government will start on July 7. The Schedule decided by the cabinet committee on parliamentary affairs that was headed by the Home Minister Rajnath Singh is as below:-
Annual Railway Budget will be tabled on July 8, the Economic survey will be tabled on July 9 and Union budget will be tabled on July 10th.
As the previous Government’s vote on account budget ends on July 31 before which date a new budget is to be placed before the Parliament.
The budget proposals for the year was delayed due to the general elections lasted till May 16.
The first railway budget has already made opposition parties to protest for its proposal raising the passenger and goods fares considerable. Protests were staged by Congress party on railway tracks and at Delhi against the price hike decision revealed beforehand.
