No New Districts For Andhra Pradesh Till March 2021:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his cabinet decided to have more districts in the state and the plan was approved by the Centre. But the Centre clarified that the reorganization of the districts in Andhra Pradesh will not be possible before March 2021 as there is a delay in the directives of the Union Home Ministry. No changes should be made from January 1st 2020 to March 31st 2021. This is considered in the view of getting the population list updated as per Census 2021.
The Centre should be mandatory to approve the new districts. YS Jagan and his government will now have to wait till March next year to get the new districts. The 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh will be increased to 25 next year. YS Jagan earlier clarified that each Parliamentary constituency will be turned into a district. The officials and other ministers chalked out all the plans for the new districts which is now kept on hold.
