YS Jagan Meets Modi For Support On Three Capitals:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy flew to New Delhi last afternoon and met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his residence last evening. The meeting went on for two hours and there were discussions on several issues and happenings of Andhra Pradesh. YS Jagan invited Modi for the inauguration of 'Pedalandaraki Illu' housing scheme on March 25th on the eve of Ugadi. Around 25 lakh families are expected to get houses on this occasion. YS Jagan wanted Modi to be present for the grand occasion. This happens to be one of the Navaratnalu schemes announced by YS Jagan before the elections.
YS Jagan requested Modi for the Centre to allow 800 acres of salt lands near the coast in East Godavari district to develop housing societies in this scheme. The three capital issues too came for discussion between Modi and Jagan. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister asked Modi to support the government's decision. There have been discussions about the abolition of the Legislative Council along with Special Status for Andhra Pradesh. YS Jagan also took this meeting as an opportunity to release the pending grants for the state from the Centre. Jagan also requested Modi to support the approval of the 'Andhra Pradesh Disha Act Criminal Law (AP Amendment) Act, 2019' or the Disha Act.
