Eight-Year-Old Rape Spreads Outrage Across The Country:- The brutal gang rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl named Asifa Bano left the whole nation in shock along with anger. The girl belonged to a Muslim nomadic tribe and her body has been located in the forest near to her village Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir on January 17th. The case even triggered religious flashpoint and eight men have been arrested who are related to this case which included a retired government official.

Four cops and a minor have been detained and all of them belonged to Hindu community from the region which is dominated by Hindus in Kashmir. There has been a land dispute with the Muslim nomads and this created a strorm across the country. The lawyers in Jammu tried to stop the cops from filing a charge sheet after the incident took place. Rahul Gandhi, Congress Chief led a candlelight march in Delhi on Thursday night. Another such incident took place in Uttar Pradesh and BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar has been facing allegations of raping a girl last year in Unnao district, UP.
