Kisan Long March Enters Mumbai: Farmers To Meet CM:- With over 30000 farmers protesting against the BJP Government which failed to address the agrarian distress reached Azad Maidan during the early hours of today. All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) organized the march which started from Nasik and several farmer groups supported the massive foot march. The protestors, who had camped at the KJ Somaiya Ground Sunday evening, started their march and reached Mumbai. AIKS has a list of demands and they will be meeting Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today.

The list of their demands includes a complete loan waiver along with adivasis land transfer to farmers and fair pay for the crops. All these issues have been pending from the past few years and BJP promised on implementing them but failed to do so. Maharashtra Government asked AIKS to start the march during the night and reach the city during the early hours so that there will be no traffic issues in the city. Farmers demanded the implementation M.S. Swaminathan committee's recommendations at the earliest. A compensation of Rs 40000 crores for the farmers who lost their crops should be implemented demanded the farmers. The protestors walked 180 kms in six days and reached Mumbai today.
