TPCC Prez Uttam Kumar Reddy Slams KCR, Says KCR Fears Losing Elections:- The TPCC President N.Uttam Kumar Reddy refuting the accusations of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao during his press conference described Mr Rao’s remarks as a result of “frustration and fear of losing the elections”.

Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy addressing the media along with Mr Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Mr Ponnala at the Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, said the Chief Minister had “crossed all limits” to target the Congress by spreading falsehoods.

The Congress had nothing with the petitions filed against regularization of contract employees of the energy department or dependent jobs in SCCL, said Mr. Reddy. It further demanded an unconditional apology. To approach the courts, people have a fundamental right and Mr. Rao cannot control this right.

He said that the language that Mr Rao used “does not suit the stature of a Chief Minister.” “His body language and tone were full of arrogance laced with frustration”, he said.

The language used by the Chief Minister was condemned by the leaders of the Opposition K. Jana Reddy and Shabbir Ali along with MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy. Most of the cases in court were filed by TRS workers. The Chief Minister had become intolerant of criticism and court judgments. The Congress had never objected to the development of state but only exposed the flaws in governance, said Jana Reddy.

Mr Shabbir Ali said that the CM was proving to be “despotic (rakshana palana)” which was not good for democracy. He demanded that Mr. Rao shoukd withdraw his remarks on the Congress and for his “silly and shameful public conduct”, shall issue a public apology. “What Mr Rao has done so far is deceiving the people with false poll promises,” he alleged.

TD Working President Revanth Reddy at a separate media interaction, asked Mr Rao to explain why he did not close down TRS when the party got 10 seats out of the 46 it contested in 2009, and going by his logic tat only seats and votes would decide the future of political parties.
