TS Govt Releases Rs 2 Crore For Construction Of Brahmin Sadan:- The Telangana Brahmin Samkshema Parishad (TBSP) has decided to extend financial assistance of Rs 15,000 towards funeral expenses to poor Brahmin families.

Additionally, the Parishad has also decided to provide a honorarium of Rs 2,500 to the Brahmin pandits aged more than 75 years. The TBSP executive committee meeting held on Friday, was presided over by its chairman and State Government Advisor KV Ramana Chary. For construction of Viprahita Brahmin Sadan at a site, the executive committee has approved the release of Rs 2 crore to Roads and Buildings department. The site is allotted to Telangana Brahmin Samkshema Parishad in Gopanapally. The Parishad also decided to impart training in employable skills to unemployed Brahmin youth and help them secure placements.

Brahmin Pandits

To conduct physical verification of certificates of the students who have applied under Vivekananda Overseas Education and Saraswati Vidya Prasasthi schemes, a selection committee led by TBSP chairman KV Ramana Chary has been constituted. These schemes are meant to extend financial assistance to Brahmin students to pursue higher studies abroad and in Telangana State respectively. The applicants have been asked to appear before the expert committee at the Parishad office in Bogulkunta on July 17 and 18.

For taking up a Health Insurance Scheme to willing Brahmin family members who are in the age group of 18-60 years whose annual income is not more than Rs 4 lakh, the National Insurance Company Limited has been selected as one of the Agencies.

The eligible Brahmin families should apply online and contribute Rs 1,000 towards premium. The Parishad members also stated that they were receiving requests from different districts for construction of Viprahita Brahmin Sadans and urged philanthropists to contribute donations for Akshaya Nidhi scheme for taking up these activities. The TBSP members have contributed over Rs 3 lakh towards the scheme. One A Ramaiah has donated one acre land at Durajpally village in Suryapet district abutting NH-65 for construction of Viprahita Brahmin Sadan and the Parishad has decided to release Rs 75 lakh towards construction of the Sadan.

Rajya Sabha member Captain K Lakshmikantha Rao, Special Representative to TS government S Venugopala Chary, MLC Puranam Satish Kumar, TBSP member Suvarna Sulochana and administrator K Chandramohan, were also present.
