Keeping all the predictions aside, BJP has been racing to the top in the UP Assembly elections. Though the exit polls said it would be 200 seats for BJP, the party has been leading in over 300 constituencies and showed clear domination. SP - Congress alliance is leading in 75 constituencies and Mayavathi’s BSP had to adjust with 20. The counting of votes for Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand and Manipur started in the morning.
Congress opened quite well in Punjab as the exit polls predicted. Congress has bene leading in 70 out of the 117 constituencies. In Uttarakhand, BJP seems to have dislodged the Congress. In Goa and Manipur too Congress showed a clean lead over BJP. However things may change in the final results in Goa and Manipur as BJP too has a chance to dominate.
