Prime Minister Narendra Modi Arrived at Shamshabad airport in Hyderabad on Friday for a two-day visit. He was received by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao.
After that, PM Modi held a meeting with KCR for ten minutes.During the meeting, the main issue of demonetization was discussed.
Mr Rao also asked PM Modi to hold a conference with Chief Ministers of all states to discuss the suggestions of demonetization. In the meeting, it will also discuss if the Centre will reimburse states for the loss of revenue and the difficulties emerging out of the shortage of currency.
Mr Rao also notified Narendra Modi that the state has lost Rs 3,000 crore in revenue due to demonetization. RBI also delayed in providing sufficient lower denomination currency. There are issues with the banks also in dispensing new currency notes to the ATMs.
After the brief meeting, the Prime Minister left for the National Police Academy. There he will attend the three-day annual conference of DGPs of all states which will begin on Saturday.
At the DGPs conference, Mr Modi is also likely to ask the top executives of the police in the country to be careful and take severe action against cross-border terrorism, sleeper cells, channelling of funds to terrorists, cyber crimes and other such activists in the wake of the strike against Pakistan.
This is the first time Prime Minister Narendra Modi will Interact with the country’s top police officers after the military strike against Pakistan.
