A 40 year old woman’s body with a bullet injury was found inside a car in Maurice Nagar, Delhi. Her friend, who was driving the car, has been detained.

The victim Rohini was living in Delhi, along with her husband and two children. The police assured that, they would soon find out whether the case is suicide or murder.

“On Tuesday evening, she met her friend at Bonta Park, located on the Kamla Nehru Ridge. They had a conversation inside her friend’s car which turned into an argument,” said a police officer.

According to the police, the woman’s friend inside the car, called up the victim’s sister and told that she had shot herself dead. The man also said that, he was going to commit suicide after which the victim’s sister informed police.

“Police set up check-posts in the area and started looking for the car… at a check-post in Maurice Nagar, they finally spotted the car being driven by the woman’s friend. Inside the vehicle, they found the woman’s body. Her friend has been detained. We are trying to find out if he killed the victim or if she committed suicide,” police said.

According to the police sources, the victim Rohini and suspect Malka Ganj, have known to each other for 7 years. The woman’s body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.

The police recovered the gun from the suspect’s possession and added that they are looking into whether he was on his way to “dump the body in an isolated spot”.
