Kommineni quits NTV, joins Sakshi?

If the speculations are proved to be true, NTV Chief Editor, Kommineni Srinivasa Rao, is likely to quit the channel and join in Sakshi media soon.

“Live with KSR” is the popular show in NTV, which was telecasted every morning, conducting the debates with the political personalities. But for the past few days, Kommineni is skipping the show for some unknown reasons.

A few of the close sources say that he is away due to some health issues, others say, he had some internal conflicts with the management.

Apparently, his open stand in favour of YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in the recent Amaravati land dealing exposure incident, has not gone down with the channel management.

In fact, till 2014 elections, NTV was a strong supporter of Jagan’s party, but equations have changed after the TDP came to power in Andhra Pradesh.

Narendra Chowdary, the channel chairman, had become closer to the Andhra Pradesh government, which did not go well with Kommineni and he continued to give his style of blows to Chandrababu Naidu. These acts did hurt the management and the fearless Kommineni thus came out of the channel, the reports say.

Even Nara Lokesh is reportedly, behind NTV, who pressurized the management to show exit door to Kommineni.

It is to be known that, when Kommineni was in Eenadu in 2004, even he was a strong supporter for the TDP till then, by virtue of his community. But somehow, he changed his stand later and had favored Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and later, Jaganmohan Reddy.

Knowing that Kommineni is finding tough time in NTV, reportedly, Sakshi management has approached the senior journalist and offered him a good package to be part of the editorial board. However, Kommineni is yet to make any decision.
